Head of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ (TCI) Integrity Commission, Eugene Otuonye, has recommended that Jamaica and other countries around the Caribbean cap and make all political donations public in the fight against corruption.
Otuonye, a Queen’s Counsel, told our news team that setting a limit to the amount of money a person or entity can contribute to politicians will help to prevent wealthy individuals and powerful corporations from hijacking the democratic process.
