To combat corruption and build integrity in Jamaica through the persistent promotion of transparency, accountability in the conduct of government, businesses and the wider society.
Generally speaking as “the abuse of entrusted power for private gain”. Corruption can be classified as grand, petty and political, depending on the amounts of money lost and the sector where it occurs.
Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre (ALAC) is a feature of Transparency International (TI), through which TI chapters provide free and confidential legal advice to witnesses and victims of corruption. There are currently over 100 ALACS operating in over 60 countries around the world.
